At Aspendale Primary School we are guided wholly by the Victorian Curriculum mathematics scope and sequence. We cover the three content strands of Number & Algebra, Measurement & Geometry and Statistics & Probability comprehensively whilst interweaving the four proficiency strands of Understanding, Fluency, Problem Solving and Reasoning into weekly lessons.

Over time we have moved to consolidate the excellent pedagogy occurring in mathematics classroom into four essential aspects. The four essential aspects are: a Daily Mathematics Session, a Common Mathematics Planner, Differentiated Teaching and the Use Of Mathematical Technologies.
