Peforming Arts
Our Performing Arts program is coordinated by Ms Natalie Tideman and Ms Stela Matthews. Each class participates in a weekly 50 minute Performing Arts session.
There are numerous opportunities for students to develop their performance skills. During lessons we teach Music, Dance, Drama and Media Arts. In Music, we teach the following instruments throughout their time at primary school: percussion, recorder, glockenspiel, keyboard, ukulele and guitar. Other opportunities include: Year 5-6 Performance Band, Years 4-6 Senior Choir and F-3 Junior Choir. Biannually, the school presents concerts at every year level, which includes a Year 5 & 6 performance.
Private instrumental tuition is also offered to our students at Aspendale Primary School. We offer keyboard, piano, guitar, drums and singing lessons. Information sheets for our current instrumental music program can be found at the school office.
